Responsibilities

  • Own the technical relationship with UK public sector customers and recommend secure, cost-effective, reliable, and operationally efficient architectures.
  • Advise customers on cloud computing technologies, application architectures, and migration or transformation opportunities.
  • Design, implement, or document cloud-native reference architectures with the AWS Solutions Architect community.
  • Create and share recommended practices, white papers, code samples, blog posts, workshops, and other technical content.
  • Educate and evangelise AWS technology through user groups, meetups, public speaking, online videos, and conferences.
  • Represent customer needs internally to help improve the AWS platform roadmap.
  • Help hire, coach, and mentor other members of the Solutions Architecture organisation.

Requirements

  • Experience in a relevant technology domain such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data and analytics.
  • Experience designing, implementing, or consulting on applications and infrastructures.
  • Experience in IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries.
  • Experience communicating verbally and in writing with senior management and customers.
  • Already hold or be willing to undergo UK government security clearance and meet residency requirements.
  • Preferred: experience in software development or Internet-related industries.
  • Preferred: experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
  • Preferred: experience with AWS technologies from a development or operations perspective.
  • Preferred: experience in technology or software sales, pre-sales, or consulting.
  • Preferred: experience working with AWS technologies.
