Base Salary
$123k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, document, and operate end-to-end software solutions across frontend and backend systems.
- Build reliable, performant, accessible web experiences using modern frontend technologies and frameworks.
- Design and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, integrations, data-driven applications, and event-driven processes.
- Own major features and technical initiatives through design, implementation, production operation, and continuous improvement.
- Improve observability, performance, accessibility, dependency management, code quality, reliability, and technical architecture.
- Lead and participate in code reviews and develop automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Debug complex issues across frontend, backend, data, and infrastructure layers and respond to production incidents.
- Collaborate with product, design, engineering, and infrastructure partners to deliver user-focused solutions and safe releases.
- Mentor engineers, improve engineering workflows and tooling, and provide technical leadership across the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Hands-on experience designing, building, deploying, and operating business-critical web and backend applications.
- Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frontend frameworks such as React.
- Backend development experience with Java.
- Experience designing, building, integrating, and supporting REST and gRPC APIs.
- Experience with distributed systems, algorithms, data structures, database design, relational and non-relational databases, data modeling, query optimization, and schema evolution.
- Experience with production troubleshooting, incident response, performance tuning, monitoring, and reliability improvements.
- Understanding of accessibility, responsive UI patterns, browser performance, and application performance optimization.
- Experience with version control, automated testing, code reviews, and iterative software delivery practices.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and technical judgment skills.
- Comfort using AI-assisted engineering tools and adopting technologies and practices that improve development, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
