Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and evaluate assigned software projects using engineering principles and applicable business and product requirements.
- Design and code complex software features with adequate documentation.
- Write automation for new and existing features.
- Troubleshoot and fix difficult software problems, provide customer support, and communicate development status and delays.
- Interface with global teams for requirements analysis and scheduling.
- Interface with external customers regarding software issues.
- Travel to onsite locations for short-term feature integrations and version installations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering with a Computer Science, Electronics, or Electrical background.
- Seven to ten years of overall experience, including at least six years in software development and three years in core product software development.
- Experience with software maintenance, continuous integration, and releases.
- Strong object-oriented design and programming experience.
- Professional experience with Core Java technologies, including design patterns, multithreading, data structures, and algorithms.
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA.
- Knowledge of best practices and how the candidate's area integrates with other areas.
