Staff Engineer, Agentic Productivity and Infrastructure - San Francisco

Responsibilities
- Design internal systems and agents that automate and accelerate code writing, review, testing, and shipping.
- Build systems for CI/CD, observability, alerting, monitoring, and agent-assisted incident response.
- Improve the internal developer platform, tooling, environments, libraries, and standards used by the engineering organization.
- Identify high-leverage automation opportunities, prototype solutions, and measure effects on velocity and reliability.
- Partner with the CTO and engineering leadership on agentic productivity and infrastructure strategy.
- Mentor and recruit engineers who will work alongside the role.
Requirements
- Production experience building developer tooling, internal platforms, CI/CD, or DevOps/SRE systems.
- Hands-on experience building with LLMs or agents, or strong conviction and curiosity about applying them to engineering workflows.
- Comfort with infrastructure and operations, including Infrastructure-as-Code, observability, and practices for maintaining healthy systems under load.
- A track record of leading a technical surface end-to-end.
- Strong proficiency in Go, Python, and/or TypeScript is a bonus, but engineers are expected to be able to learn on the job.
- Experience building agentic developer tooling or internal automation that measurably improved team velocity is a bonus.
- Strong engineering judgment, ownership, communication, collaboration, and mentoring ability.
