Base Salary
$115k - $192k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own technical execution for an embedded Innovation Squad from discovery through production.
- Build, assess, harden, and deliver AI prototypes and proofs of concept for enterprise use.
- Design and govern reusable agentic AI patterns covering orchestration, tool use, memory, retrieval, and production guardrails.
- Integrate AI solutions with enterprise systems through APIs and data pipelines while meeting security, compliance, and data-residency standards.
- Create reusable patterns, reference implementations, and starter kits for adoption across functions.
- Finalize requirements, make architecture decisions, write specifications, fix complex bugs, and design complex data models.
- Recommend infrastructure, hosting, data-residency approaches, and budgets.
- Plan delivery, manage scope and dependencies, remove blockers, and drive validated outcomes to production.
- Establish baselines and measure productivity, cost, and quality outcomes from pilot through scale.
- Serve as the primary technical contact for external resources and mentor and elevate squad engineers.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and maintain visibility of AI pilots to identify reuse opportunities and prevent duplication.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with hands-on AI system design, build, or integration and a track record of taking enterprise AI prototypes to production.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience; an advanced degree is preferred.
- Experience with LLM orchestration, prompt engineering, context-window management, production guardrails, MCP, tool-augmented agents, and enterprise-scale RAG.
- Experience integrating AI into enterprise systems through APIs and data pipelines with strong security, data-governance, and data-residency practices.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, including managed AI/ML services.
- Experience with relational, columnar, and vector data stores and sound architectural principles.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, TypeScript/JavaScript, SQL, and relevant AI SDKs.
- Experience planning and sequencing work, managing scope and dependencies, influencing technical decisions, and communicating with senior stakeholders.
- Budget awareness and experience partnering with managed services, external resources, or staff augmentation.
- Ability to work effectively in ambiguity and prioritize shipping validated outcomes over perfect solutions.

- U.S. National Base Pay Range: $115,400-$192,300, with geographic differentials potentially applying and eligibility for an annual incentive bonus.
