Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of production-grade customer systems, reference architectures, custom applications, data ingestion, and ML/AI integrations.
- Own architecture and design decisions for secure, scalable solutions aligned with customer needs and Databricks best practices.
- Guide customers through transformational data and AI projects, including project bootstrapping, implementation, evaluation, and adoption.
- Embed with customer teams and stakeholders ranging from technical individual contributors to executives to understand challenges and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Collaborate with engagement managers, project managers, architects, engineering, customer support, and customer teams to deliver technical engagement components and resolve issues.
- Contribute reusable accelerators, frameworks, and best practices while providing feedback that influences the Databricks product roadmap.
Requirements
- 9+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms and analytics, or software engineering.
- Ability to code in Python, Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frameworks.
- Working knowledge of at least two cloud ecosystems among AWS, Azure, and GCP, with expertise in at least one.
- Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark and knowledge of Spark runtime internals.
- Working knowledge of MLOps, ML/AI models, and AI APIs.
- Experience designing and deploying performant end-to-end data architectures and applications combining data pipelines, ML/AI models, and user-facing interfaces.
- Experience delivering technical projects, managing scope and timelines, and translating complex concepts into actionable solutions.
- Documentation, whiteboarding, enterprise client engagement, stakeholder management, adaptability, and conflict-management skills.
- Databricks Certification is listed among the desired qualifications.
