Base Salary
$165k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and deliver platform features and enhancements from design through deployment and documentation.
- Lead onboarding of teams and workloads through self-service and GitOps-based provisioning workflows.
- Maintain ArgoCD GitOps pipelines and Kustomize configurations across multiple clusters.
- Implement and tune Kyverno admission control policies for platform security and operational standards.
- Build and maintain observability tooling, including Grafana dashboards, Tempo tracing, and alerting.
- Collaborate on cluster lifecycle events, upgrades, and cross-cutting platform concerns.
- Translate platform consumer and stakeholder requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Maintain platform documentation, runbooks, and internal knowledge bases in Confluence.
- Participate in second- or third-level support through an on-call rotation.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other team members.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or a related discipline.
- Hands-on production experience with Kubernetes; OpenShift experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience with Kubernetes configuration and templating tools such as Kustomize or Helm.
- Comfort operating in Linux environments and working with YAML-heavy configuration management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting and communicating changes to a broad consumer base.
- Deep proficiency in multiple platform disciplines, including Kubernetes observability, GitOps and release engineering, infrastructure engineering, and security and policy enforcement.
- Experience with Kubernetes on bare metal, cluster networking, network policy, storage, CSI drivers, and hardware-layer operations.
- Preferred qualifications include Red Hat OpenShift Certified Administrator certification or equivalent.
- Experience supporting internal platform consumers or working in a shared-services model is preferred.
- Experience with Ansible, Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management, Red Hat Advanced Cluster Security, HyperShift, OpenShift Hosted Control Planes, Podman, and custom Kubernetes operator development is preferred.
