Responsibilities
- Design and develop new features across Pico’s product range.
- Build solutions for analyzing real-time network data and providing access to raw, normalized, real-time, and historical market data.
- Develop high-availability and high-performance multi-threaded applications.
- Write maintainable code using appropriate C++ implementation techniques and design patterns.
- Create and maintain unit and integration tests.
- Investigate field issues and resolve problems using limited available data.
- Collaborate with other engineers, explain technical trade-offs, and provide and receive constructive feedback.
Requirements
- Minimum 2:1 in a third-level Computer Science or Engineering degree, or equivalent.
- Minimum four years of development experience.
- Expert proficiency in C++ development under Linux.
- Experience with Python, shell scripting, and makefiles.
- Understanding of algorithms and design patterns.
- Experience developing multi-threaded applications.
- Experience with automated unit and integration testing.
- Experience with Linux-based development environments, including gdb and valgrind.
- Knowledge of IP networking.
- Ability to reason through problems, follow or create justified implementation patterns, and write code that can be maintained by others.
