Responsibilities
- Design and architect a scalable blockchain position-keeping service for tokenized, detokenized, and hybrid financial instruments.
- Architect and oversee development of a wallet service that enables AI agents to query real-time customer position data.
- Partner with business users to create Product Requirement Documents, define Critical User Journeys, and establish success metrics.
- Evaluate and integrate relational databases, data lakehouses, and real-time streaming architectures for AI retrieval, agentic workflows, and financial insights.
- Create technical guides that support handoff from proof of concept to engineering teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Seven years of software or data engineering experience, including Python, Go, or Java programming, design patterns, testing frameworks, and API contract design.
- Experience with back-office clearance, trade reconciliation, and identifying or mitigating transaction settlement risks.
- Experience designing and implementing Distributed Ledger Technology solutions and smart contracts within regulated Financial Market Infrastructures, including tokenized-asset lifecycle management.
- Preferred: experience using AI tools to improve coding velocity and quality and experience in financial services, clearing, settlement, or custody.
- Preferred: proficiency in BigQuery, Vertex AI, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub.
- Preferred: knowledge of data residency, encryption at rest and in transit, CMEK, and explainable AI requirements in banking.
- Preferred: understanding of relational, NoSQL, and analytical data modeling, including Star Schema and Data Vault.
- Preferred: ability to independently drive discovery from an ambiguous business problem to a structured PRD and working technical demo.
Benefits
- Germany base salary of €148000–€151000 EUR, plus a 20% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
