Responsibilities
- Analyze, implement, maintain, troubleshoot, and document mainframe system and application software.
- Develop, code, modify, and test application programs and features while ensuring alignment with business requirements.
- Lead needs analysis and requirements gathering for application development and implementation.
- Diagnose and resolve complex software issues and provide expert troubleshooting.
- Conduct code reviews, coach developers on best practices, and support quality assurance.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for business-critical systems.
- Monitor application health and performance and contribute to post-implementation reviews.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience developing and supporting complex, integrated application systems on mainframe systems.
- Proficiency with COBOL-DB2/IMS and JCL.
- Strong unit testing skills.
- Strong understanding of SDLC processes and best practices.
- Successful completion of background investigation, criminal history check, education verification, and professional references.
