Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate backend systems for Workspace Agents in ChatGPT.
- Develop core infrastructure to enhance agent reliability and configurability.
- Connect agent experiences to enterprise workflows and tools.
- Address technical challenges related to agent orchestration and backend APIs.
- Collaborate with product, design, research, and engineering teams.
- Shape the technical direction of a rapidly evolving product area.
- Drive meaningful end-to-end outcomes in a small, agile team.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional backend engineering experience.
- Proficient in backend languages such as Python, Go, or Rust.
- Strong fundamentals in distributed systems and service architecture.
- Experience building scalable systems for complex workflows.
- Comfortable in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
- Ability to balance short-term iterations with long-term system quality.
- Interest in AI agents and workplace productivity.
