Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end performance engineering and testing delivery for key projects.
- Perform performance testing for web, mobile, and hybrid applications.
- Create test designs and scripts, execute tests, analyze results, and provide reporting.
- Evaluate performance across UI, middleware, and backend layers.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and provide recommendations through proof-of-concepts.
- Use monitoring and profiling tools to investigate performance issues.
- Perform client-side and front-end performance testing using Lighthouse and Sitespeed.
- Develop Sitespeed scripts and potentially in-house tools and enhancements.
- Apply AI and ML to testing, analysis, or reporting where appropriate.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of performance engineering or performance testing experience.
- Strong experience with performance testing and engineering for web, mobile, and hybrid applications.
- Advanced proficiency with JMeter, including Groovy, JSR223, Web HTTP, and Selenium WebDriver.
- Hands-on TypeScript or JavaScript scripting with Playwright.
- Experience evaluating performance across UI, middleware, and backend layers.
- Experience with AppDynamics, Grafana, Kibana, and other profiling utilities.
- Familiarity with AWS CloudWatch and Azure/AWS services for performance monitoring and DevOps.
- Experience with Lighthouse and Sitespeed for client-side performance testing.
- Programming knowledge in SQL and at least one of Java or Python.
- Desired experience with Sitespeed scripting, front-end performance analysis, K6 with Grafana, Artillery, AI/ML for testing or reporting, and internal tool development.
- Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and tools.
