Responsibilities
- Design and develop APIs and Java microservices using Spring Boot.
- Maintain production APIs and migrate legacy APIs to modern architectures.
- Apply secure coding practices throughout the development lifecycle.
- Work across multiple clients and business contexts in Latin America.
- Collaborate with distributed squads and communicate occasionally in Spanish with local stakeholders.
- Contribute to technical documentation, service ownership, versioning, deployment practices, and team process maturity.
- Participate in the development team’s agile ceremonies.
Requirements
- Experience with Java 17 or newer, Spring Boot, RESTful API design and development, and cloud-native application development.
- Experience with JUnit 5 unit testing, Docker, Docker Compose, relational and non-relational databases, Git, and messaging tools.
- Knowledge of AWS IAM, S3, EC2, Lambda, SQS, SNS, ECS, EKS, RDS, DynamoDB, EventBridge, and API Gateway.
- Intermediate or advanced Spanish proficiency.
- Preferred experience or knowledge includes event-driven architecture, Kubernetes, microservices patterns, Golang, JavaScript, Open Finance, and advanced or fluent Spanish.
