Responsibilities
- Configure Appian GAM Suite workflows, business rules, decision tables, forms, interfaces, and user-experience components for federal acquisition requirements.
- Translate business requirements into Appian configurations in collaboration with developers, business analysts, and subject matter experts.
- Build and maintain reusable clause libraries, questionnaire logic, milestone templates, approval routing, document-generation templates, interfaces, data types, and expression rules.
- Participate in sprint planning, standups, demos, retrospectives, and other Agile delivery activities.
- Conduct unit testing and support integration testing, user acceptance testing, defect resolution, package preparation, environment promotion, and release validation.
- Document configuration decisions, technical specifications, and user guidance.
- Improve Appian performance through configuration best practices, caching strategies, and efficient workflow design.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass a Tier 2 background investigation are required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field, or three additional years of relevant IT experience in lieu of the degree.
- Junior Developer level requires 1–3 years of experience in software configuration, business process automation, or low-code platform development; Developer level requires 3–5 years.
- Experience with low-code/no-code platforms or business process management tools is required.
- Strong understanding of workflow automation, business rules, process modeling, and translating business requirements into technical configurations.
- Appian Certified Analyst or Appian Certified Associate Developer certification is preferred.
- Preferred experience includes Appian configuration, federal government modernization, federal acquisition or contracting processes, API integrations, web services, SQL, Azure, SaaS application configuration, Section 508 accessibility, and JavaScript, Java, or Python scripting.
