Responsibilities
- Create test plans and test setups, execute tests, analyze test-result data, report bugs, and generate test reports.
- Test motor controller ECU firmware, including CAN/UDS communication and bootloader functionality.
- Develop and execute Python- and NI LabVIEW-based test automation.
- Perform component-level, system-level, black-box, and white-box testing.
- Deep-dive into issues and assist development teams with root-cause analysis.
- Provide constructive feedback on new features and document solutions clearly.
Requirements
- Engineering degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
- 1–3 years of firmware testing experience on electric vehicle platforms or ECUs.
- Experience testing automotive ECUs, preferably driveline motor or transmission ECUs, using NI- and Python-based automation frameworks.
- Knowledge of CAN log measurement tools including CANape, CANoe, PCAN, and NIXNET.
- Understanding of CAN and UDS communication protocols.
- Familiarity with microcontroller, microprocessor, and DSP architectures, including registers, buses, PWM, DMA, watchdogs, ADCs, DACs, and timers.
- Strong ownership, attention to detail, communication, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills.
