Base Salary
$145k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Work with product owners to understand requirements and drive the full software development lifecycle.
- Build simple, customizable software that enables customers to extend functionality.
- Design and implement new products and features while enhancing the existing product suite.
- Apply advanced knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance and scale considerations.
- Provide architecture reviews, code reviews, mentoring, and technical direction.
- Build and operate scalable SSR and component-based systems across the Node.js and ServiceNow Glide platform layers.
- Configure, scale, roll out, roll back, and respond to incidents for services running in Kubernetes.
- Build and maintain production observability tooling, including Grafana dashboards and Prometheus alerting.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar field.
- At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Deep JavaScript expertise and substantial experience with Java or a similar object-oriented language such as C++, C#, or Go.
- Strong experience with modern UI frameworks including Angular, React, Vue, or Lit.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance and scale considerations.
- Strong experience developing, troubleshooting, and optimizing relational databases.
- Strong experience with server-side rendering and hydration, including isomorphic rendering failure modes.
- Strong systems-level Node.js experience involving process or worker isolation, HTTP semantics, reverse proxying, and concurrent versioned rollouts.
- Comfort working across JVM/Maven backends and Node.js/TypeScript SSR stacks, including ServiceNow Glide platform conventions.
- Demonstrated senior individual-contributor experience with responsibility for code quality and mentoring.
- Experience or critical thinking related to integrating AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving.
- Preferred experience with multi-target build systems, Kubernetes service operations, and production observability using Grafana and Prometheus.
