Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain core components of the enterprise GenAI platform.
- Architect scalable backend services, microservices, APIs, and full-stack features for systems serving more than 180,000 users.
- Build document-processing pipelines, vector database and semantic-search solutions, agentic capabilities, and multi-agent orchestration.
- Integrate Claude, Gemini, and proprietary LLMs and optimize AI inference performance, reliability, and cost.
- Implement real-time AI response streaming using WebSockets and Server-Sent Events.
- Design Kubernetes/OpenShift deployment patterns, Helm charts, service mesh implementations, and container-based high-availability strategies.
- Build observability, monitoring, alerting, CI/CD, GitOps, and infrastructure configuration for multiple environments.
- Participate in production support, incident response, root-cause analysis, and postmortems.
- Define technical vision and roadmap, guide architectural direction, and make strategic technical decisions across teams.
- Mentor engineers, develop technical talent, lead high-performing teams, and collaborate with engineering, product, security, business, and AI research leaders.
Requirements
- Expert-level Go programming with 5+ years of experience and deep knowledge of concurrency patterns.
- Proficiency with TypeScript/JavaScript and React with 3+ years of full-stack development experience.
- Advanced knowledge of microservices architecture, API design, RESTful APIs, gRPC, and real-time communication protocols.
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes/OpenShift, containerization with Docker, Helm charts, Kubernetes operators, and cloud-native deployment patterns.
- Experience with Istio or other service mesh implementations, infrastructure-as-code, GitOps workflows, and distributed network architecture.
- Production experience implementing LLM-based applications, prompt engineering, vector databases, semantic search, streaming AI architectures, model integration, fine-tuning, and optimization.
- Experience with document processing, MongoDB, Redis, S3-compatible object storage, and high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems.
- Knowledge of observability, CI/CD, automated and performance testing, production incident management, SRE principles, Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack.
- Knowledge of OAuth/JWT authentication and authorization, Vault secrets management, enterprise security practices, and compliance in regulated industries.
- 15+ years of overall software development experience, 5+ years in technical leadership, 5+ years with cloud-native architectures, and 3+ years of practical AI/ML systems experience in production.
- Experience leading teams that build enterprise-scale systems for at least 10,000 users and a demonstrated record of delivering organization-wide technical projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred qualifications include micro-frontend and module-federation experience, GraphQL, event-driven architectures, message queuing, load testing, chaos engineering, resilience testing, and multiple programming languages.
