Base Salary
$245k - $307k/yr
Responsibilities
- Rapidly prototype and assess technologies for personalized marketing and assistive field-sales systems.
- Partner with enterprise and card technology organizations to develop agentic marketing and sales systems.
- Establish technical charters that accelerate adoption of AI technologies.
- Bridge current systems to future architecture while maintaining system health and business continuity.
- Clear technical, process, and organizational roadblocks for developers across the organization.
- Provide authoritative guidance on performance, scalability, operability, and other non-functional characteristics.
- Design architecture for large-scale cross-domain programs and evaluate build-versus-buy decisions.
- Create proofs of concept, contribute hands-on code, and conduct code reviews with engineering teams.
- Mentor engineers, coach technical and product communities, and promote engineering excellence.
- Share technical knowledge through guidance, communications, code samples, blog posts, and other materials.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 7 years of experience in software engineering and solution architecture, enterprise architecture and design patterns, cloud computing, and data architecture.
- Preferred master’s degree in computer science or software engineering.
- Preferred experience with applied and agentic AI systems, agentic AI coding tools, web technologies, distributed HPC and ML systems, databases, public cloud platforms, networking, and third-party distributed systems.
- Preferred 10+ years of professional coding experience with languages such as Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, or Scala.
- Preferred 10+ years of full software development lifecycle experience and 8+ years with database and database management systems.
- Preferred experience mentoring senior engineers, driving professional development, leading cross-domain architecture reviews, and establishing coding and design standards.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to translate agentic AI concepts into business value.

- Full-time annual salary ranges are $244,700-$279,200 in Richmond, VA and $269,100-$307,200 in McLean, VA; the role may also receive performance-based incentive compensation.
