Responsibilities
- Work with cutting-edge generative AI technologies and collaborate with AI and software engineers.
- Help build and improve AI-enabled products like automated document processing and virtual assistants.
- Design and own AI evaluation infrastructure, including golden datasets and online quality metrics.
- Lead model selection and training decisions across the AI stack.
- Design safety guardrails and PII handling for regulated workflows.
- Execute end-to-end AI systems with a focus on reliability and observability.
- Take ideas from discovery to production solutions, scaling effectively.
- Partner with business stakeholders to solve problems and foster a positive team culture.
- Provide guidance on AI project design and execution within the broader community.
- Drive the development of junior team members through mentorship.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in building and shipping production software, with at least 1 year in LLM-powered systems.
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
- Experience shipping LLM-powered products, including prompt design and agent harnesses.
- Hands-on experience with evaluation frameworks and regression testing.
- Experience selecting and integrating foundation models from various vendors.
- Familiarity with post-training techniques and RAG/retrieval system design.
- Experience with end-to-end model development and monitoring workflows.
- Proficiency with modern data platforms like Databricks or Snowflake.
- Familiarity with TypeScript/React/Node is a plus.
- Ability to articulate AI solutions and manage project deliverables effectively.
