Responsibilities
- Drive adoption and execution of SRE practices to improve availability, resiliency, observability, and operational excellence.
- Define, monitor, and report reliability metrics, service level objectives, operational health indicators, and performance trends.
- Provide senior-level 24x7 production support for Tier 1 Wealth Management Trading applications.
- Lead critical incident resolution, major incident management, root-cause investigations, problem management, and recovery coordination.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, automation, remediation, and other reliability improvements to reduce service disruptions.
- Conduct impact assessments, operational readiness reviews, release validation, and operational risk assessments.
- Manage vendor performance, service quality, escalations, issue resolution, and operational accountability.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, infrastructure teams, technology teams, project teams, and external vendors.
- Support trading platform upgrades, regulatory changes, strategic initiatives, and business transformation programs.
- Develop and maintain support documentation, runbooks, operational procedures, and recovery processes.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in Application Support, Application Reliability Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, Production Operations, or Technology Operations within a financial institution.
- Experience supporting Tier 1 mission-critical applications in a 24x7 production environment.
- Strong knowledge of Incident, Problem, Change, and Major Incident Management processes.
- Experience working with and managing external technology vendors supporting enterprise applications.
- Experience implementing or operating SRE practices, including monitoring, observability, automation, reliability measurement, and service resiliency improvements.
- Strong knowledge of Wealth Management and Trading platforms, including Equities, Bonds, GICs, Mutual Funds, and related investment products.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to communicate technical issues and business impacts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Legal eligibility to work at the specified location and, where applicable, a valid work or study permit.
