Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Investigate customer-reported embedded software and firmware anomalies using flight telemetry, system logs, and returned hardware.
- Reproduce field issues in laboratory environments and perform root cause analysis across software, firmware, hardware, and FPGA interactions.
- Debug Linux- and RTOS-based embedded systems using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG debuggers.
- Analyze embedded processor architectures, board support packages, bootloaders, kernel modules, firmware implementations, and communication interfaces.
- Collaborate with Software, Hardware, FPGA, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality teams to implement corrective actions and improve product reliability.
- Serve as the technical interface for software-related customer escalations and communicate actionable findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Track software defects, support configuration management, recommend product enhancements, and verify corrective actions through laboratory testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- At least 3 years of experience developing, debugging, testing, or sustaining embedded software on Linux and/or RTOS-based systems.
- Strong proficiency with C/C++ and experience performing root cause analysis on embedded software and firmware.
- Experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG debuggers.
- Knowledge of embedded processor architectures, Linux kernels, bootloaders, board support packages, and embedded software development workflows.
- Experience with SPI, I2C, UART, PCIe, SpaceWire, and Ethernet communication interfaces.
- Familiarity with Git, Jira, version control, and software configuration management.
- Knowledge of networking and cybersecurity concepts such as TLS, IPsec, AES, or RSA is highly desirable.
- Aerospace, defense, satellite, or other high-reliability embedded systems experience is preferred.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
