Responsibilities

Lead cloud cost optimization initiatives across large enterprise environments.
Identify waste, inefficiencies, and architectural opportunities and design governance frameworks for sustained cloud efficiency.
Analyze cloud usage and spending data and build reporting, analytics, and decision-support systems.
Partner with engineering and data teams to implement optimization recommendations and improve financial visibility.
Work directly with customers, lead discovery sessions and optimization reviews, and present recommendations to technical and business audiences.
Guide engineering and data teams, establish cloud-efficiency best practices, mentor team members, and drive architecture decisions.

Demonstrated FinOps and cloud cost optimization experience, including cost governance, cost allocation, showback and chargeback, Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, rightsizing, and cloud economics.
Strong AWS experience, including AWS-native analytics services such as Athena.
Strong SQL and Python skills, with experience in large-scale data analysis, data modeling, reporting pipelines, data transformation workflows, and Medallion architecture concepts.
Customer-facing consulting experience and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and business audiences.
Experience driving measurable cost-reduction initiatives and connecting technical recommendations to business outcomes.
Preferred experience with Kubernetes, cloud-native platforms, and containerized workloads.
Nice-to-have experience using AI tools in engineering or analytics workflows and familiarity with LLMs and AI-assisted development.
Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, problem framing, technical consulting, and data-driven decision-making skills.

Remote work globally with PST overlap.
Work on high-impact cloud optimization programs with demanding enterprise customers.
Influence architecture and cost optimization decisions and collaborate with experienced architects, engineers, and FinOps practitioners.
Help customers achieve substantial savings through improved engineering and cloud decisions.
