Responsibilities
- Prepare technical specification documents from functional specifications.
- Propose and review technology solutions and implementation approaches aligned with business goals, budgets, and timelines.
- Review ongoing project implementations for efficiency and performance.
- Ensure compliance with company standards and procedures through reviews with chief and platform architects.
- Build relationships with BT Technology and Openreach stakeholders through regular communication.
- Provide technical and functional guidance to internal and vendor teams.
- Set up prototypes for vendor technical teams and contribute to team processes and standards.
- Conduct training sessions and seminars on technologies and tools.
- Coordinate work with vendor teams across multiple locations and develop innovative ideas that add business value.
Requirements
- Experience working on projects using Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
- Experience working on complex projects across different technologies.
- Demonstrable previous software engineering or related experience.
- In-depth understanding of telecom product offerings and excellent telecom domain knowledge, including the Openreach IT stack.
- Strong technology skills in microservices architecture, Spring Boot, Java, CI/CD DevOps tooling, BPM frameworks, UX wireframing, UI development, and web technologies.
- Ability to lead by setting up prototypes and provide technical and functional direction to team members.
- Experience working with geographically dispersed teams.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
