Responsibilities
- Develop web front-end solutions using React JS and GWT.
- Develop and maintain middle-tier and backend modules using Java, Spring web services, streaming, messaging, PL/SQL, and Hibernate.
- Serve as a lead developer for client onboarding projects involving the Derivatives Hub and Loans HQ platforms.
- Design and support high-throughput, low-latency, multithreaded backend applications and data-driven services.
- Modernize legacy desktop-based applications into scalable cloud-native web applications.
- Design and support document-management solutions for ingestion, secure storage, metadata tagging, retrieval, and archiving of bank-loan lifecycle documents.
- Perform root-cause analysis, troubleshoot data queries, resolve project issues, and investigate discrepancies across DHub and LHQ platforms.
- Work with developers, architects, business analysts, end users, and onshore and offshore teams to translate requirements into Agile Epics and Sequencing Roadmaps.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on DHub/LHQ business processes and derivatives processing.
- Champion continuous integration and agile development practices while communicating with application stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 7 years of hands-on technology development experience.
- At least 7 years of experience with financial-industry systems and complex asset classes including OTC derivatives and syndicated and private bank loans.
- At least 7 years of experience designing multithreaded backend applications for high-throughput processing.
- At least 7 years of experience transforming legacy desktop applications into scalable cloud-native web applications.
- At least 7 years of experience with Java/J2EE.
- At least 5 years of experience with React JS or GWT and advanced UI-framework expertise.
- At least 5 years of experience with web services and JMS.
- At least 5 years of experience with Oracle, PL/SQL, stored procedures, Exadata, or SQL Server.
- At least 5 years of experience with database optimization, query and stored-procedure bottleneck analysis, and streaming platforms such as Apache Kafka.
- At least 5 years of experience with document-management systems and scalable document ingestion, storage, metadata, retrieval, and archiving solutions.
- At least 4 years of experience designing and implementing Spring Boot scheduler jobs.
- Proven experience developing reliable, high-throughput systems that ingest and process large volumes of bank-loan lifecycle documents.
- Strong verbal and written communication, problem-solving, business acumen, results focus, technology influence, curiosity, and teamwork.
