Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical lead on AI projects and guide ML and software development colleagues through technical and client-related delivery.
- Translate customer business needs into comprehensive technical solutions and technical designs.
- Support internal development planning and continuously translate ML and software engineering efforts into planning, budget, and scope impacts.
- Investigate machine learning research and lead the internal assessment and integration of innovative tools and frameworks.
- Ensure the high-standard completion of projects managed by the team.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior machine learning engineers.
- Conduct client workshops and showcase AI and machine learning expertise.
- Assist the sales team in qualifying and securing new projects.
- Advance internal technical capabilities and enhance the company’s client offerings.
Requirements
- Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of machine learning experience, with a strong focus on natural language processing.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala.
- Extensive experience with NLP libraries such as NLTK, spaCy, or Transformers.
- Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms; Microsoft Azure experience is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in native Dutch and English; French is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and teamwork abilities.
- Preferred qualifications include experience developing and deploying scalable ML models, publications in AI/ML conferences or journals, LLM and foundational model experience, technical team mentoring or leadership, and experience in GenAI, data quality, retail, manufacturing, or finance.
