Responsibilities
- Design and build machine learning pipelines and cloud infrastructure for production-scale ML systems.
- Convert offline models developed by data scientists into production machine learning systems.
- Develop and deploy scalable tools and services for machine learning training and inference.
- Evaluate technologies that improve the performance, maintainability, and reliability of client ML systems.
- Apply software engineering practices including CI/CD and automation to machine learning systems.
- Implement security, auditability, versioning, and data-security practices for sensitive data and model outputs.
- Investigate and resolve issues involving model performance, data pipelines, and infrastructure.
- Set up APIs using serverless functions and translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Help establish Faktion’s inaugural MLOps team and share knowledge across the organization.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering skills in complex, multi-language systems and fluency in Python.
- Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Experience with message brokers or messaging services such as MS Service Bus, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
- Experience with cloud computing and database systems.
- Experience setting up APIs using serverless functions such as Azure Functions.
- Experience developing and maintaining machine learning systems with open-source tools.
- Experience developing with containers and Kubernetes in cloud computing environments.
- Experience setting up infrastructure with tools such as Terraform or Bicep.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in native English or native Dutch; French is a plus.
- Experience deploying scalable machine learning models is a plus.
- Experience with software testing, benchmarking, continuous integration, machine learning methodologies, deep learning, or modeling frameworks is a plus.
- Experience in GenAI, Data Quality, Retail, Manufacturing, or Finance is a plus.
