
Architect, SAP Business AI Platform

Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable AI platforms integrated with SAP systems and SAP Business AI components.
- Define software architecture and development strategy involving SAP Knowledge Graph, Joule Studio, and the SAP Business AI Platform.
- Manage cloud resources across BTP Cloud Foundry and adjacent environments for AI platform operations.
- Translate tax and compliance requirements into technical solutions and project priorities.
- Guide development teams through architectural decisions and AI-native SAP development practices.
- Present AI platform strategy and integration architecture to engineering teams and senior leadership.
- Drive solutions for AI monitoring, anomaly detection, operational reliability, and tax determination accuracy.
- Coordinate tax content, engineering, and product teams through project lifecycles and manage stakeholder expectations across releases and hyper care.
- Evaluate AI tooling, including MCP-based patterns, against SAP certification and compliance constraints.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Software Architect focused on AI and SAP integrations.
- Working knowledge of SAP’s AI ecosystem, including BTP, Joule Studio, and Agent Gateway concepts, or the ability to ramp quickly.
- Strong software architecture and development strategy skills within enterprise governance and certification requirements.
- Strong stakeholder management, collaboration, communication, judgment, and technical decision-making skills.
- Experience addressing AI monitoring, anomaly detection, operational reliability, and emerging technology evaluation.
- Research-oriented mindset and demonstrated ability to apply industry trends to architectural decisions.
- Leadership presence and ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Familiarity with tax compliance frameworks is preferred but not required.
