Lead Software Engineer – PLM Integration Platform

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers working on the PLM integration platform.
  • Provide technical direction, architectural guidance, design reviews, and engineering standards.
  • Design and build scalable integration services connecting Centric PLM with internal and external systems.
  • Develop APIs, event-driven services, messaging solutions, data transformations, and distributed-system workflows.
  • Own technical delivery from design through production deployment and operational excellence.
  • Define target architecture and non-functional requirements for scalability, availability, security, and operational readiness.
  • Build observability through logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting.
  • Drive incident reduction, root cause analysis, automation, testing, release management, and continuous improvement.
  • Support production services and collaborate with enterprise architects, product teams, platform teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience designing and delivering complex enterprise-scale backend and integration solutions.
  • Proven technical leadership experience mentoring engineers, leading delivery teams, making architectural decisions, and fostering engineering excellence.
  • Strong expertise in distributed systems, cloud-native application development, microservices, and service-oriented architectures.
  • Experience with REST APIs, event-driven architectures, messaging technologies, enterprise integration patterns, and API governance.
  • Experience with messaging or streaming technologies such as Kafka, Solace PubSub+, Google Pub/Sub, or RabbitMQ.
  • 10+ years of backend development experience using Python and frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask, including asynchronous programming.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, Azure, or AWS; Kubernetes; Docker; infrastructure automation; and CI/CD practices.
  • Understanding of observability, production operations, reliability engineering, automated testing, monitoring, alerting, distributed tracing, OpenTelemetry, and SRE principles.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL or other distributed databases, data modeling, and enterprise data integration and transformation.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills in global, cross-functional environments.
  • Experience in retail, fashion technology, Product Lifecycle Management, Centric PLM, product creation, supply chain, or product master data integrations is preferred.
