Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, monitor, and operate business-critical software autonomously and reliably.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to implement end-to-end solutions to customer and business problems.
- Design and execute secure, scalable, high-quality architectures and services.
- Apply operational excellence practices involving metrics, observability, availability, performance, and maintainability.
- Mentor engineers and promote technical growth within teams and across Engineering.
- Evaluate new technologies and architectures and apply them thoughtfully.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of backend development experience using TypeScript, Node.js, Python, Ruby, Rails, or other languages.
- Extensive production experience with AWS, preferably supporting high-volume or high-availability services.
- Ability to design, deploy, and optimize scalable, secure, available, and performant systems.
- Experience designing pragmatic architectures and delivering maintainable, high-quality code.
- Frontend application experience, preferably with React, is a plus.
- Strong communication, collaboration, judgment, and willingness to learn and adapt.
