Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable AWS cloud infrastructure supporting microservices-based applications.
- Manage and operate AWS EKS and Kubernetes clusters, including upgrades, backup and restore, and cost optimization.
- Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform or OpenTofu.
- Configure and maintain Splunk and Datadog for monitoring and logging.
- Integrate Istio service mesh with Kubernetes environments.
- Support CI/CD processes using Jenkins or similar tools.
- Develop Bash and Python automation for troubleshooting and cloud operations.
- Apply container security practices and support disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure or a related field, including at least 3 years in AWS cloud environments.
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture, concepts, resource management, and AWS EKS clusters.
- Strong knowledge of AWS core services including EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, and CloudWatch.
- Strong experience configuring and maintaining Splunk and Datadog.
- Extensive infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform or OpenTofu.
- Experience with Istio, Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools, and Bash or Python scripting.
- Knowledge of container security, Helm chart creation, and OpenTelemetry tools is preferred.
- Experience with cloud disaster recovery and business continuity planning is preferred.
- AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, AWS Security, or DevOps Engineer are a plus.
