Base Salary
$170k - $255k/yr
Responsibilities
- Analyze system-level use cases for data-center server platforms.
- Optimize power and performance technologies, including DVFS and power-limiting mechanisms, for ARM platforms.
- Develop algorithms and techniques to reduce power consumption and improve performance.
- Perform system-level optimization using hardware- and software-based power, thermal, and limits-management techniques.
- Drive system architecture and software enhancements and influence feature requirements.
- Lead ideation, prototyping, and development of power, performance, and thermal features.
- Design and implement software subsystems for complex, large-scale products.
- Identify and address system and software inefficiencies from a power-performance perspective.
- Collaborate with hardware, systems, and test engineering teams and produce or review technical documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field plus 6+ years of software engineering or related experience; alternatively, a master's degree plus 5+ years or a PhD plus 4+ years.
- At least 3 years of experience with a programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Expertise in power and performance management techniques and experience with power, performance, and thermal measurement and optimization on server-class products.
- Strong familiarity with ARM architecture and programming in C, C++, and Python.
- Understanding of SoC and computer-system architecture, including board and SoC bring-up, device drivers, and peripheral buses.
- Strong background in Linux, real-time operating systems, and multithreaded architecture.
- Preferred qualifications include a master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong debugging, communication, independent-work, and collaboration skills.
