Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services for the analytics platform using Python.
- Build scalable and secure applications and APIs with clear contracts, strong error handling, and reliable performance.
- Develop high-performance network traffic simulation tools for system-level, functional, and regression testing.
- Support large-scale data flows, analytics workflows, reporting, operational data processing, scalability, high availability, failover, and active-active deployments.
- Collaborate with React frontend teams on API integration and work with DevOps teams on deployment automation and production readiness.
- Troubleshoot production issues across APIs, services, databases, infrastructure, and integrations.
- Participate in architecture, code, API, and technical design reviews, and provide technical guidance on backend engineering.
- Use AI tools to improve coding, debugging, testing, documentation, automation, and engineering productivity.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience in Python backend development.
- Excellent programming skills in one or more of C/C++, Python, Java, Go, or similar languages.
- Scripting experience with Shell, Ruby, Bash, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols, socket programming, and backend web development.
- Experience debugging and troubleshooting test and production issues, including familiarity with GDB, Wireshark, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of GenAI tools and their use in day-to-day engineering work; experience with AI/ML algorithms and GenAI usage is desired.
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in large-scale integration environments.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, independent decision-making, and collaborative working skills.
