Responsibilities
- Develop and execute automated functional and non-functional tests, including performance, reliability, accessibility, and security testing.
- Define test strategies, plans, designs, automation approaches, and end-to-end test solution designs for complex initiatives.
- Develop and maintain resilient automated test scripts and integrate automated testing into CI/CD/CT pipelines.
- Manage reusable automated test data provisioning capabilities and apply test data management practices.
- Evaluate new testing technologies through proofs of concept, including service virtualization, DevOps tools, BDD, and test data management.
- Collaborate with development teams to define and validate user stories, acceptance criteria, and Definition of Done/Ready.
- Perform complex testing automation, debugging, analysis, remediation planning, and continuous process improvement.
- Review test assets for quality, standards compliance, reusability, and maintainability.
- Lead or facilitate quality engineering activities, stakeholder relationships, risk management, governance, and regulatory alignment.
- Mentor and guide team members, share quality engineering best practices, and support knowledge transfer.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience.
- Advanced knowledge of quality engineering frameworks, testing technology, tools, processes, and procedures.
- Hands-on experience writing automated scripts using industry-standard frameworks, with strong coding, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with BDD, TDD, automation frameworks, performance testing, reliability testing, accessibility testing, and security testing.
- Knowledge of JCL job execution, abended and error-job handling, input and output files, file editing and overwriting, GDG, restart processes, scanning, flat files, VSAM files, SORT, SAS, and File Manager.
- Experience with CA7 scheduling, dependency checks, In Sync, Find Text, and reading hexadecimal values.
- Strong knowledge of test data management, service virtualization, DevOps practices, monitoring tools, and CI/CD/CT pipelines.
- Ability to work autonomously on complex testing automation and provide technical leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder guidance.
- Knowledge of TD business systems, banking standards, risk management, governance, and regulatory requirements is expected.
