Base Salary
$230k - $262k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems for regulatory needs.
- Provide technical leadership across multiple teams, shape system architecture, and influence long-term technology direction.
- Design and implement large-scale, distributed, cloud-native systems with demanding reliability and performance requirements.
- Partner with architects and product leaders to define platform roadmaps and shared-services strategy.
- Collaborate with product managers to deliver cloud-based solutions for millions of customers.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to internal and external technology communities.
- Use programming languages, databases, container orchestration services, and AWS tools to build and deploy solutions.
- Drive observability, reliability, coding standards, design patterns, and technical strategy across teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 3 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred: master's degree in computer science or a related field.
- Preferred: 9+ years coding with more than two of Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, or Scala.
- Preferred: 5+ years with open-source frameworks and frontend JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks.
- Preferred: 5+ years creating synchronous and asynchronous APIs.
- Preferred: 4+ years with databases, cloud technologies, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing frameworks, Git-based version control, and cloud troubleshooting.
- Preferred: experience mentoring senior engineers, leading architectural design reviews, establishing coding standards, implementing observability and reliability practices, and influencing technology strategy.
- Experience with modern AI-based coding tools, interactive AI tooling, cross-functional engineering efforts, and large-scale technical initiatives.
