Base Salary
$209k - $262k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Design and implement large-scale, distributed, cloud-native systems with high reliability and performance requirements.
- Provide technical leadership across multiple teams and shape system architecture and long-term technology direction.
- Partner with product leaders and architects to define platform roadmaps and shared-services strategy.
- Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver cloud-based solutions for regulatory and risk management needs.
- Mentor engineers and help drive professional development across technical teams.
- Establish coding standards, design patterns, observability practices, and reliability practices at scale.
- Lead architectural design reviews and influence enterprise-wide technical standards and technology strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 3 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred experience includes 9+ years coding in more than two listed programming languages and 5+ years with open source frameworks.
- Preferred experience includes 5+ years with front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, 5+ years creating synchronous and asynchronous APIs, and 4+ years with databases and database management systems.
- Preferred experience includes 4+ years with AWS, GCP, Azure, cloud productivity tools or virtualization, automated testing frameworks, and Git-based version control.
- Preferred experience includes troubleshooting cloud environments, mentoring senior engineers, using observability in distributed systems, and implementing reliability practices.
- Experience with AI-based coding tools, interactive AI productivity tooling, architectural design reviews, cross-functional engineering leadership, and portfolio-level technology strategy is preferred.
- A master's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
