Base Salary
$179k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Build cloud-based solutions and developer experience tools that support business and regulatory needs.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams and establish standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Partner with architects to define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks.
- Identify improvement opportunities, reduce technical debt, and optimize system performance.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and influence long-term technology strategy.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to internal and external technology communities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred: master’s degree, 7+ years coding across multiple listed languages, and experience with databases, cloud platforms, open source frameworks, frontend frameworks, APIs, testing, version control, cloud troubleshooting, observability, and AI-based coding tools.
- Preferred: experience mentoring engineers, leading cross-functional engineering efforts, establishing coding standards, and driving large-scale technical initiatives.

- Full-time annual salary ranges vary by location: $179,400-$204,700 in Plano, TX and $197,300-$225,100 in McLean, VA.
