Base Salary
$99k - $146k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in customer meetings, technical workshops, solution discussions, presentations, and demonstrations.
- Conduct technical discovery to understand customer business and technology objectives and requirements.
- Design, architect, and propose complex custom solutions using Lumen technology services.
- Prepare technical proposals, proof-of-concept engagements, RFP/RFI responses, and solution demonstrations.
- Advise customers, sales, customer success, product management, and engineering teams on solution fit, features, availability, and implementation.
- Develop technical sales strategies and communicate proposed solutions, pain points, and ROI to technical and executive audiences.
- Support sales teams on key opportunities and collaborate with internal ecosystem, product, and customer success partners.
- Provide customer and internal thought leadership and relay feedback on customer experience, products, and services.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or equivalent private-sector or military work experience.
- Minimum two years of experience in technology-focused pre-sales, engineering, consulting, or a similar background.
- Experience in technical pre-sales and/or consulting.
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture and design.
- Knowledge of one or more technology areas including global network infrastructure, edge cloud capabilities, connected security, and communication and collaboration services.
- Ability to lead technical workshops, RFP discussions, and final solution discussions with mid-level IT stakeholders.
- Ability to lead complex deal discussions with sales, customer success, product, engineering, and other internal teams.
- Strong problem-solving, creative solution development, communication, presentation, listening, reasoning, and objection-handling skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage multiple projects and tight deadlines, and maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
- Industry certification in one or more specialized technologies is desired.
- Experience with solution consulting and ITIL is desired.
- Basic understanding of cloud and architecture design, Network Functions Virtualization, and security solutions is desired.
