Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain integrations with academic and health system partners.
- Build, maintain, and evolve infrastructure for Academics Integrations and structured and unstructured data sources.
- Provide technical leadership by shaping roadmaps, technology direction, and scaling strategies.
- Develop creative solutions to technical and business challenges while iterating rapidly with strong engineering practices.
- Establish operational, observability, developer experience, and high-throughput pipeline frameworks.
- Work with complex data pipelines and a variety of data processing tools.
- Collaborate with oncologists, clinicians, product leaders, quantitative scientists, customers, and international teammates.
- Help design scalable collaboration models with customers and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of relevant professional software engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s, master’s, and/or Ph.D. degree in computer science or a related field.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, C++, SQL, Java, and R, plus willingness to learn additional languages.
- Experience with AWS, Snowflake, DBT, and Databricks.
- Ability to provide technical leadership for a small team and help scale an ambitious roadmap.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and explain technical concepts to sophisticated non-technical audiences.
- Preferred experience in U.S. hospitals or academic medical centers, healthcare data, external integrations, data engineering, infrastructure, DevOps, security engineering, or machine learning.
- Preferred experience managing engineers or interest in engineering management.
- Preferred familiarity with Prefect and data engineering tools, as well as collaboration with biostatisticians, clinicians, and researchers.
