Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve production issues across services and integrations.
- Debug systems using logs, traces, metrics, and database queries to identify root causes.
- Tune PostgreSQL queries, caching, and service behavior under load.
- Deploy, configure, scale, and troubleshoot Kubernetes environments.
- Improve observability through metrics, logging, and tracing with Grafana and ELK.
- Support integrations between Sportsbook services and external client platforms.
- Set up and configure new Sportsbook-related projects and environments.
- Write Go-based internal tooling and automation to reduce manual operational work.
- Work with Kafka and RabbitMQ messaging systems and diagnose consumer, lag, retry, and failure issues.
- Collaborate with developers, QA, and DevOps to resolve incidents and improve system stability.
Requirements
- Solid experience reading and writing production Go code.
- Strong debugging skills across services, logs, and data layers.
- Experience with PostgreSQL query analysis, indexing, and performance tuning.
- Hands-on Kubernetes experience, including kubectl, deployments, configurations, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Grafana, Kibana/ELK, and logs, metrics, and tracing.
- Experience with Redis caching patterns and debugging.
- Experience with Kafka and/or RabbitMQ consumer behavior, lag, retries, and failures.
- Understanding of distributed-system behavior under load, including timeouts, retries, and race conditions.
- Comfort working with production systems and handling incidents independently through resolution.
- Experience with high-load or real-time systems, Sportsbook or betting platforms, or internal engineering automation is preferred.
