Responsibilities
- Implement and troubleshoot Celonis standard extractors for SAP, JDBC-based databases, Salesforce, ServiceNow, and other customer systems.
- Design and build custom REST and SOAP API connectors with authentication, pagination, rate-limit handling, and incremental data loading.
- Develop Python-based scripts and pipelines for push ingestion through the Celonis Data Ingestion API.
- Configure zero-copy data sharing with Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, and other customer lakehouses using Delta Sharing.
- Resolve infrastructure issues involving on-premise agents, networking, proxies, firewalls, IP allowlisting, certificates, and service accounts.
- Monitor extraction schedules and pipeline health, tune delta strategies, and resolve data load failures.
- Configure Action Flows, writebacks, SSO, SCIM provisioning, and integrations with customer systems and identity providers.
- Connect Celonis with customer LLMs and AI agents through MCP while addressing authentication, permissions, and governance.
- Support security, privacy, and compliance reviews and advise on data minimization, pseudonymization, and least-privilege access.
- Run technical discovery, document architectures and requirements, estimate effort, coordinate across customer and internal teams, and create reusable integration assets and documentation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a technical, customer-facing role such as solutions engineering, integration or implementation consulting, data engineering, or technical consulting.
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs, OAuth 2.0, API keys, tokens, and API testing tools such as Postman.
- Strong Python or similar programming skills and strong SQL skills.
- Working knowledge of data pipelines and ETL/ELT concepts, including incremental loads, scheduling, and large data volumes.
- Familiarity with SSO using SAML or OIDC and SCIM-based provisioning.
- Basic networking and security knowledge, including TLS, certificates, proxies, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Ability to explain technical topics to engineering and business stakeholders and manage workstreams across multiple customer projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred experience with SAP data structures and extraction, AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, iPaaS or low-code tools, LLMs, AI agents, MCP, Docker, Linux server administration, and relevant Celonis, cloud, or SAP certifications.
