Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable, customer-facing APIs using Rust and TypeScript on AWS Lambda.
- Own data modeling, data flows, and API reliability across AWS infrastructure.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code with AWS CDK and improve CI/CD practices.
- Collaborate with data, search, and product teams to advance API products.
- Mentor colleagues and shape technical direction through independent judgment and strong communication.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience building scalable backend systems and APIs.
- Strong experience with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, and AWS CDK.
- Strong programming skills in Rust, TypeScript, or similar languages such as C/C++ and Python.
- Experience designing APIs for external customers.
- Ability to work independently, anticipate problems, take ownership, and communicate proactively.
- Comfort with Docker, Git, testing, and fast-moving environments.
- Rust in production, event-driven architectures, DynamoDB, and AI/ML experience are preferred.
