Base Salary
$102k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and extend ROS2/DDS software on ARM, Intel, and AMD embedded platforms running Oracle Linux.
- Work with vendors and proprietary libraries or applications supporting locomotion, control, vision, and sensor feedback.
- Design and deploy software layers and tooling for automated hardware provisioning and large-scale server fleet onboarding.
- Integrate and validate firmware with hardware, and support platform bring-up, firmware updates, diagnostics, and cross-layer debugging.
- Diagnose and resolve issues across software, firmware, and hardware while supporting reliability, availability, monitoring, and incident response.
- Design software solutions, develop features, document designs, lead code reviews, debug issues, and implement fixes.
- Implement functional and non-functional testing, quality assurance, error logging, monitoring, observability, performance profiling, and code optimization.
- Troubleshoot API functionality and integration and implement API versioning, lifecycle, and interoperability strategies.
Requirements
- Hands-on systems software development experience with ROS2/DDS and embedded platforms is required by the responsibilities.
- Experience integrating software and firmware with hardware and debugging across software, firmware, and hardware layers is expected.
- Ability to independently design, develop, deploy, and troubleshoot production software and fleet provisioning tooling.
- Working knowledge of software development lifecycle practices, testing, quality assurance, performance optimization, APIs, and observability.
- Ability to collaborate with product, infrastructure, security, hardware, platform, operations, data center, and external vendor teams.
