Base Salary
$230k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and operate scalable, resilient distributed backend services on Kubernetes or ECS.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to expand Tinder’s service platform.
- Influence team roadmaps and product development.
- Recruit, encourage, mentor, and develop other team members.
Requirements
- Excellent knowledge and experience with a backend language such as Java, Node.js, Go, or C++.
- BS or MS in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
- At least 5 years of industry work experience.
- Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, and coding.
- Experience designing and building distributed backend systems that handle high volumes of traffic.
- Ability to handle ambiguous business requirements with strong prioritization, time management, and execution skills.
- Preferred experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Preferred experience with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB or Cassandra.
- Preferred experience with Redis, Elasticsearch, Kafka, Spark, TypeScript, CI/CD, and Docker containers.
