Base Salary
$74k - $83k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute functional test scenarios and automated tests for distributed automotive features using sprint user stories.
- Implement and maintain automation code, scripts, tools, debugging processes, and validation workflows.
- Review project requirements for testability and provide testing estimates during sprint planning.
- Log test results in JIRA, debug failures, identify root causes, and submit valid defects with detailed reports.
- Collaborate with feature, systems, wiring, design release, software, development, and test teams to reproduce and troubleshoot defects.
- Perform root-cause analysis of hardware quality issues and software failures, including prioritization and validation of fixes.
- Participate in system design, documentation, code reviews, and testing for infotainment and other vehicle systems.
- Inspect and maintain hardware laboratory nodes using corrective and predictive maintenance processes.
- Identify improvements to testing practices, automation capabilities, and velocity tracking for upcoming vehicle programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field emphasizing control systems.
- At least 3 years of experience with dynamic systems and embedded real-time controls development for automotive or similarly complex electromechanical systems.
- Experience with data analysis, scripting, and dynamic-system modeling and simulation using Python, TestRail, MATLAB, Simulink, or Stateflow.
- Experience with C or C++ and standard systems engineering tools such as boundary diagrams, fault tree analyses, FMEAs, and P-diagrams.
- Familiarity with AUTOSAR standards and automotive software development tools.
- Subject matter expertise in chassis hardware and controls, including brakes, steering, and suspension.
- Understanding of automotive powertrain systems and controls, including hybrids, dynamics, hydraulics, electric machines, batteries, and mechatronics.
- Preferred experience with ADAS feature testing, OTA updates, and test bench construction.
- Ability to communicate, document, troubleshoot, manage multiple timelines, and collaborate effectively within diverse global teams.
