Responsibilities
- Design, build, and pilot secure, scalable, cloud-hosted AI solutions for reinsurance business problems.
- Develop hands-on AI and full-stack applications using Python, APIs, and modern application architectures.
- Research and evaluate emerging AI approaches, tools, techniques, and managed foundation-model services.
- Design prototypes with consideration for scalability, operability, data governance, integration pathways, and enterprise transition.
- Align solutions with engineering standards, architecture principles, security controls, approved platforms, and data governance requirements.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Information Security, and the Global Experience Analysis engineering team.
- Contribute to logical and cloud architecture designs and identify architectural impacts, dependencies, and technical debt risks.
- Share cloud and AI engineering insights, patterns, and lessons learned to accelerate consistent AI adoption.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience designing, building, and piloting AI-enabled solutions through rapid prototyping and experimentation with business stakeholders.
- Strong hands-on development experience with Python, APIs, and modern application architectures.
- Experience translating business problems into practical, secure, scalable, enterprise-aligned technical solutions.
- Experience evaluating and applying AI technologies in regulated or risk-aware environments.
- Strong engineering judgment balancing innovation with operational readiness, governance, and control.
- Desirable experience with AI, data, and analytics platforms on AWS or Azure, including managed AI or foundation-model services.
- Exposure to actuarial, underwriting, pricing, analytics, insurance technology, or adjacent environments is desirable.
- Familiarity with DevOps or DevSecOps practices and enterprise CI/CD pipelines is desirable.
- Understanding of enterprise architecture, target architectures, design governance, and regulated organizational environments is desirable.
- Exposure to OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Claude, Llama, Azure AI Foundry, Copilot Studio, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools is desirable.
- Strong ownership, communication, stakeholder collaboration, and ability to lead through influence are expected.
