Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain Android features for Grab’s payment experience.
- Deliver scalable, resilient, and high-quality mobile solutions for critical user journeys.
- Improve performance, reliability, observability, engineering quality, and developer productivity.
- Collaborate with product, design, backend, risk, and platform teams to translate product goals into technical solutions.
- Contribute to architecture, technical design, code reviews, and engineering standards.
- Troubleshoot production issues and support operational excellence.
- Use experimentation and data to improve customer experience and business outcomes.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience building Android applications in production.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and modern Android development.
- Experience building maintainable mobile architectures and shipping user-facing features at scale.
- Understanding of Android performance, reliability, testing, debugging, and release practices.
- Experience integrating backend services and handling complex client-server interactions.
- Familiarity with Android architecture components, Coroutines, Jetpack, and modern development tooling.
- Experience with experimentation, instrumentation, and data-informed product development.
- Knowledge of secure coding and mobile application security practices.
- Experience working on payments, fintech, checkout, authentication, or other high-trust product areas is valued.
- Experience in large-scale consumer technology environments and strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
