Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of video creation features such as advanced editing tools, effects, and AI-powered media generation.
- Drive the technical roadmap for Client App infrastructure and implement complex multi-quarter projects, including media engine migrations and reliability frameworks.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Backend teams to translate ambiguous requirements into scalable mobile solutions.
- Mentor and guide engineers while setting technical standards through code and design reviews.
- Identify and resolve systemic technical and process bottlenecks to improve developer productivity and codebase sustainability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages.
- At least 3 years of mobile app application development experience.
- Experience with media editing within a mobile app.
- Preferred: Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Preferred: 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Preferred: experience developing accessible technologies.
