Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable enterprise applications using Java 17/21.
- Build and maintain APIs and microservices using Spring Boot.
- Develop maintainable and performant code following software development best practices.
- Participate in application modernization and cloud readiness initiatives.
- Use AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude to improve productivity and code quality.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and DevOps teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolution.
- Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in Java fundamentals, including collections, multithreading and concurrency, streams and lambda expressions, memory management, JVM concepts, exception handling, design patterns, and performance optimization.
- Hands-on implementation experience with Java 17 and/or Java 21.
- Strong experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data JPA.
- Experience with microservices, API development, Apache Kafka, and event-driven architecture.
- Experience using AI-powered software development tools and Databricks workflows.
- Experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, and CloudWatch.
- Basic knowledge of Python, PySpark, SQL, and PL/SQL.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, Maven or Gradle, and Agile methodologies.
