Base Salary
$150k - $162k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop embedded software for airborne computers, crypto products, and weapon control systems.
- Design and implement low-level software using embedded C/C++ and real-time operating systems.
- Work with device drivers, bootloaders, board support packages, and hardware/software interfaces.
- Implement or integrate embedded communication protocols including UART, I2C, SPI, CAN, and Ethernet.
- Contribute to software development leadership, lifecycle execution, planning, and resource scheduling.
- Apply technical standards and methodologies, support team members, and identify opportunities to use AI for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or a related science, engineering, technology, or mathematics field plus 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master’s degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.
- Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at the time of hire.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility for access to classified information are required.
- Strong experience with embedded C/C++, embedded systems architecture, RTOS platforms, device drivers, bootloaders, BSPs, hardware/software integration, and Linux.
- Experience with communication protocols such as UART, I2C, SPI, CAN, and Ethernet.
- Preferred experience includes Assembly, Python, Rust, DO-178-compliant software engineering, CI/CD pipelines, Agile development, and software development leadership.
- Strong communication, collaboration, technical leadership, problem-solving, and professional development skills are preferred.
