Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Develop embedded software for airborne computers, crypto products, and weapon-control systems.
- Design and implement low-level software using embedded C/C++ and real-time operating systems.
- Work with device drivers, bootloaders, board support packages, hardware/software interfaces, and embedded communication protocols.
- Contribute to embedded Linux development, hardware/software integration, and the software development life cycle.
- Provide technical leadership, support software planning and resource scheduling, and help position teammates for success.
- Identify opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or a related science, engineering, technology, or mathematics field plus 8 or more years of job-related experience, or a master’s degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.
- Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at the time of hire, along with eligibility for access to classified information.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Strong experience with embedded C/C++, embedded systems architecture, RTOS platforms such as FreeRTOS, VxWorks, or QNX, and Linux.
- Experience with device drivers, bootloaders, board support packages, hardware/software interfaces, and protocols including UART, I2C, SPI, CAN, and Ethernet.
- Preferred experience includes Assembly, Python, Rust, DO-178-compliant software life cycles, Agile development, CI/CD pipelines, and software development leadership.
- Strong communication, collaboration, technical leadership, problem-solving, and software development life-cycle leadership skills.
