Base Salary
$106k - $243k/yr
Responsibilities
- Implement switch and NIC Linux platform capabilities, including custom ASIC drivers and APIs for higher-level layers.
- Design and develop high-performance, resilient, and scalable systems software for large-scale networking and HPC environments.
- Design, code, integrate, test, debug, and document operating system and networking subsystems.
- Write and execute testing plans, protocols, scripts, and tools, and resolve code and integration issues.
- Lead project teams involving software systems engineers and internal or outsourced development partners.
- Represent the software systems engineering team on complex development projects and communicate project status and design decisions.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members and contribute technical guidance through written materials and presentations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- Typically 6–8 years of experience.
- Expertise with multiple software systems design tools and languages.
- Experience designing software systems across multiple platform types.
- Knowledge of software systems testing methodologies, test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, verbal communication, and software architecture communication skills.
- Ability to negotiate technical options at management levels and work with internal and outsourced development partners.
